Course with unfinished modules that was marked complete now allows learners to re-enroll and re-attempt unfinished modules Issue resolved Enhancement
Instructors, managers with permissions and admins can mark a course complete for a learner, even with modules not yet finished.
A customer reported that learners who tried to return to a courses that were marked complete - to re-attempt an exam that allowed multiple attempts for example - couldn’t re-open the course module.
The team reviewed the issue and the logic that controlled the modules and revised it.
Now, on courses that are marked complete:
- for exams that allow multiple attempts, learners can re-attempt the exam
- for scorable assignments that aren’t finished, learners can re-attempt the assignment
In all cases, where permitted, learners can enroll again and work through the whole course another time.

Enrollment expiry dates set through the API now match those set through the user interface Issue resolved Enhancement
When an admin or course owner sets a valid period onscreen using both available options, Expires X days after enrollment and a calendar date, LearnUpon uses the earlier date as reference.
A customer reported that setting the valid period through the API resulted in LearnUpon using the later date, and thus created a discrepancy between courses set up in the user interface (UI) and courses set up through the API.
The team has reviewed the issue, identified when the API logic changed, and updated the logic so the API now refers to the earlier of the two valid period dates. There’s no difference between setting up valid periods for courses onscreen or through the API.

Live learning: learners who need to attend 1 of a choice of sessions are now correctly marked as completed after 1 session Issue resolved
Customers reported that when they set up live learning events that allowed registration until learners attended 1 session, learners were being marked as Failed after attending 1 session.
The team reviewed the issue and found the issue in the logic. Now, learners who are registered for an event and need to attend 1 session of many available are now correctly marked as Completed.

Live learning: update the number of required sessions in an event Issue resolved Enhancement
Initially, after creating an event with required sessions, you couldn’t edit the number of sessions required. This restriction made introducing changes awkward once an event had sessions and attendance.
The live learning feature now lets you increase or decrease the number of sessions required to complete an event, even after the sessions have started.
When decreasing required sessions, the minimum number allowed is the highest number of marked sessions that any learner currently has for that event.
When you lower the number of required sessions so that some learners meet or exceed the requirements, those learners are moved automatically to Completed status for the event.

All live sessions button directs to correct view for learners using legacy learner experience Issue resolved
As part of routine testing the team found that learners using a legacy learner experience who selected All live sessions were getting directed to a page in the redesigned learner experience, even though that learner experience feature wasn’t turned on for them.
The team identified the issue and redirected All live sessions to the correct calendar drawer in the legacy layout.

Course creation: use filters to find content that is most recently updated Enhancement
For admins, managers and instructors who own courses: in Courses, each course now includes an Updated date to indicate when the course was last re-versioned.
Tip: the display order option for Newest first refers to the courses' original publication date. It doesn’t refer to the most recent update.
You can also filter courses with the Updated after calendar picker.
You can combine this filter with others like the course Status to narrow the list of courses.
The following screenshot shows a sample Courses page filtered using Updated after date. The Filter courses and the Display order options are highlighted.

Live learning: update the title and description of a session while the session is in progress Issue resolved Enhancement
Live learning sessions now allows limited changes to an online session while the session is running.

Live learning in courses with enrollment requests: learners can successfully use Register and enroll option from their Live learning pages Issue resolved
Ongoing testing showed that for a course with live learning events, where learners requested enrollment, the first learner who requested enrollment changed the setting for all learners from Register and enroll to Pending request, blocking other leaners' attempts to request the course. The issue affected events using overbook, self-registration, required sessions and additional specific settings.
The team could recreate the issue and resolved it. For this specific set of options the Register and enroll option works correctly for learners to request access to a course and register for a session at the same time.
See Enrollments: manage enrollment requests from learners
Live learning: confirm in-person session attendance with a one-time passcode Enhancement
For in-person sessions you can generate a QR code for the session, so learners can log their own attendance before or after the session.
Now organizations can make this attendance check more secure by sending learners a one-time passcode as a confirmation step. Learners must enter the passcode to confirm their attendance.

Live learning: due dates for courses appear on the content details page, when the course owner sets the due date using X days after enrollment option Issue resolved
LearnUpon lets you set due dates for courses using a fixed calendar date, or by entering a number of days after enrollment.
A customer reported that when they set due dates using the X days after enrollment option, the due date didn’t appear on the content details page, only on the learners' Home page.
The team has reviewed the issue and found the solution. The due date appears on the content details page correctly, no matter how the due date is set.
