Live learning: sessions within courses that are restricted by group are not visible to learners outside the group 20 June 2025 Issue resolved
Within LearnUpon, you can restrict courses in the internal catalog to specific groups only. See Catalog: add courses and learning paths to the internal catalog for background.
A customer contacted us about learners who could view, but not register for, live learning sessions that were part of restricted courses. The learners were not within the groups, but could view the sessions.
The team reviewed the issue and identified the source to address it.
For courses restricted to groups, their associated live learning sessions are no longer visible in the catalog to learners outside the groups.

Enhancements to the look and feel of the learner experience 20 June 2025Issue resolved Enhancement
After releasing the redesigned interface and course experience for learners, the team has picked up and resolved some small issues with the look and feel of courses. These issues included:
- breadcrumb spacing on the course page
- spacing around the navigation elements at the bottom of course pages
- layout of certain modules appearing inconsistent
- the ampersand sign, &, not appearing correctly when used in course descriptions or forum posts
- module headings appearing in different sizes within the same course
- checkboxes in checklists displaying incorrectly, and the text next to the checkbox appeared squeezed, making the text hard to read
- radio buttons in exam answers not appearing correctly next to long text segments
- for courses that require enrollment requests: a stray word
falseappearing in the message about requesting enrollment
Similar to these issues, the team addressed another display issue in the manager dashboard: an additional box appearing on the page, that was not selectable and didn’t add function
Correcting these issues makes the experience of using LearnUpon smoother and more pleasant for both learners and managers.

API parameter typo is fixed 20 June 2025 Issue resolved
A customer reported a typo in an API parameter for course creating courses through the API.
The typo was corrected, from email_on_feedback_or_reivew to email_on_feedback_or_review.
To prevent this change breaking other customers' integrations, the API now accepts either spelling for this parameter.
See API guide: optional create course parameters

Live learning: for session series using MS Teams, instructors now receive assignment notifications correctly 20 June 2025Issue resolved
Several customers contacted LearnUpon about their instructors not receiving email about assignments for session series.
The team tested the issue and found it was limited to MS Teams. The issue also showed up only in specific circumstances, like after deleting the first session and re-creating it.
The team worked through the issue and identified how MS Teams was not receiving the correct notification information from LearnUpon.
Instructors using MS Teams are now receiving notifications correctly for session series.

Live learning: My sessions filter now displays only sessions where the learner is registered 6 June 2025 Issue resolved Enhancement
Initially the My sessions filter showed:
- a learner’s registered sessions
- future sessions for events where the learner is enrolled on a course, but not yet registered on a session
So in their calendars, learners saw a lot of future sessions they had not yet registered for.
Based on feedback, the team has changed My sessions to display only the sessions where the learner is registered, showing a shorter list or number of calendar dates.

Live learning: for session series, learners now receive 1 email notification per session 6 June 2025 Issue resolved
When LearnUpon released live learning session series, it included a single email notification with calendar details of all the sessions and the calendar attachments.
Customers have reported that Microsoft Outlook can’t manage multiple calendar attachments in a single email, and learners are missing notifications that should appear in their calendars as a result.
The current solution is to send 1 email notification per session.
Customers need to advise learners to expect multiple emails, 1 for each session, and add the details to their calendars as required.

Learners using Korean language and legacy course pages can now download certificates 6 June 2025 Issue resolved
A customer reported their learners couldn’t download their certificates after completing their courses. Their learners used the Korean portal translation with the legacy course pages.
The team investigated and found a typo in the Korean translation for the legacy pages. With that correction learners can now successfully download certificates.
LearnUpon recommends the refreshed course experience for learners. Contact your Customer Success Manager to ask them to turn it on for your organization.

Live learning: adding a waitlist to a session that is in progress is not available 6 June 2025 Issue resolved Better messaging
A customer reported that they had tried to edit a session that was in progress, to add a waitlist. The waitlist would allow more learners to enroll in the course, and wait for the next session. The customer received an “update successful” message, which was inaccurate.
Making changes while the session is running breaks the webinar connection, and LearnUpon doesn’t receive attendance data for the session.
To protect learners' session data, the team changed the interface behaviour. If you try to edit a session in progress, the waitlist options are greyed out.

Live learning: on the content details page, the sessions now appear from newest to oldest by default 6 June 2025 Issue resolved
A customer pointed out that the sessions listed on a Course details page appeared from oldest session to newest session, so the sessions the learner has already completed appear at the top.
On My learning, learners can filter their sessions by other criteria and view the sessions in a different order as required.
The team discussed the issue and agreed that for Course details, viewing the most recent sessions first by default is more intuitive.

Live learning: when an admin registers learners for sessions, learners do not see session choices 6 June 2025 Issue resolved
As part of ongoing development, the team identified an issue where learners were invited to view and register for sessions, when only admins or event owners had permissions to register learners. This issue would cause confusion and frustration for learners.
The team has resolved the issue: for manual registrations by admins and event owners, learners no longer see instructions to view and choose sessions.

Learning paths: paths in My learning now show the course duration correctly 6 June 2025 Issue resolved
A customer reported that their learners' My learning pages weren’t showing the total time length for learning paths. The information was available in the internal catalog.
The team reviewed the issue and corrected it. For new enrollments, the total duration for the learning path now appears in My learning.
Note: You need to add the course duration to each course to provide the information to your learners.

Facebook login option removed from LearnUpon 6 June 2025 Issue resolved
LearnUpon’s integration with Facebook previously allowed learners to log in to a portal with their Facebook account details.
LearnUpon product staff reviewed the number of learners using this option, and made a strategic decision to retire the option, in favour of supporting other 3rd-party login features.
Admins can control 3rd-party logins from portal settings.

Go1: automated course imports now sync correctly overnight 6 June 2025 Issue resolved Enhancement
Customers who import courses from Go1 overnight had reported issues where the automated synchronization stopped working.
The team reviewed the issue and identified that those customers had hit the limit of 1000 courses to synchronize automatically. LearnUpon set this limit to protect its servers from excessive loads: from a customer unintentionally downloading the entire Go1 library, for example.
The team has raised the limit for automated syncs to 2000 courses, which meets all of LearnUpon’s current customers' needs.

MS Teams: admins without full portal permissions can now add MS Teams to their profile 6 June 2025 Issue resolved
LearnUpon offers 2 levels of admin permissions: those who can access settings for the whole portal, and those who can access users, groups, courses and content only. The second type cannot change portal-level settings. See Portal setup: create admin accounts for background.
A customer reported that the limited admin user type couldn’t set up MS Teams, to facilitiate courses.
The team reviewed the issue and have changed the permissions. After the one-time setup by an admin with full portal permissions, all admins can now add MS Teams through their user profiles.
