Live learning: custom session data now returned correctly with the newest API endpoint Issue resolved
LearnUpon released an API endpoint that searches and returns a “list” of sessions when you specify optional parameters. See the API guide description about live learning events and sessions.
Customers reported that this endpoint was not returning custom session data as expected. The team reviewed the issue and identified the gap.
The custom session data is now available thorugh this endpoint.

Live learning: session types no longer change after learners are registered on the event Issue resolved
Routine testing showed an issue for Live learning events: even after setting up an event as either an individual session or a session series and registering learners, an admin could change the session type onscreen. This issue resulted in broken sessions for learners.
The team reviewed the issue and resolved it, so admins can no longer change the session type once learners are registered.

Live learning: registering learners to multiple events in one course works correctly Issue resolved
A customer reported that for courses with multiple events where the events are set to allow self registration, a timing issue around registering learners caused an error.
The team reviewed the issue and has resolved it, so learners can self-register for multiple events in one course without issues.

Live learning: explaining why admins can’t edit some learners' attendance Issue resolved Better messaging
As part of ongoing improvements, the team has added more messages to explain why some learners' attendance records aren’t editable: you can’t select the records onscreen.
These messages help admins understand the workflow of the attendance records, and avoid frustration.

Courses: LearnUpon can now store longer names for thumbnail images Enhancement Issue resolved
Customers had reported that some course images appeared broken in the catalog. These images had long file names that, combined with a long path within the application, exceeded the number of characters allowed for filenames.
The team reviewed the issue and have increased the characters limit for filenames. Long filenames, with long paths, are now usable, and display correctly within the portal.

Groups: changes to group create and edit layout Enhancement
As part of ongoing development the interface for creating and editing groups has changed, to support features currently in development and in the Early Adopter Program.

Logged in as learner, aka proxy user: Learning journeys screen is now accessible to admins Issue resolved
As part of routine support, the team found that the learner view of Learning journeys was partly obscured by the banner that appears when an admin logs in as a learner. The top of the page was hidden including the learning journey date info.
The team reviewed the issue and have resolved it, so the banner no longer affects the rest of the display.

Catalog: learners and admins can view the hover state correctly Issue resolved
Some customers reported that they could not access the hover or rollover view of a course when viewing the catalog, making viewing multiple courses in the catalog a much slower process.
The team identified that the reports came from customers using touchscreen devices. The team has now amended the Catalog so touchscreen devices can access hover views more smoothly.

Training history: learners can download a training history filtered by date in PDF format Enhancement
When Training history is available in a portal, learners can download their training history either as CSV or PDF files.
Initially learners could only download a file filtered by date as CSV format.
LearnUpon has now added the PDF format option, so learners can filter their training history by date, then download it as a PDF.

Courses: SCORM and Tin Can modules identified correctly, before and after enrolling Issue resolved
In the refreshed course experience, some customers reported that modules were described as SCORM modules on catalog pages, but were shown as Tin Can modules after their learners enrolled on the course, and viewed the course details. The courses ran OK but the labelling was incorrect.
The team found the issue and have resolved it, so SCORM modules and Tin Can modules are labelled correctly throughout the application.

Live learning: custom session data definitions do not affect session access Issue resolved
Custom session data fields support your organization’s internal processes like billing between departments, or tracking customers. They are fully optional.
During routine testing the team found that if an admin deleted the definition for the data field, the session became inaccessible.
The team found the issue and resolved it. If you delete the data definition, you keep the field’s value:
- for past sessions with marked attendance
- for future sessions

Legacy ILT: you can no longer copy courses containing legacy instructor-led training modules Deprecation notice
As part of the process of moving to Live Learning, you can’t copy courses that contain legacy ILTs anymore.

Squared logos for the portal switcher appear correctly when you change portals Issue resolved
Customers with multiple portals reported that their squared logos for sub-portals were disappearing, and displaying only the top-level portal logo for all portals.
The team has addressed this issue and now sub-portals keep their correct branding when you change portals.

Certificates now publish with the correct variables consistently Issue resolved
The team recently addressed an issue where LearnUpon was occasionally not generating certificates with all their data, but the problem was sporadic.
The team found the issue related to the display size of the certificate PDF. The original image size affected how variables were displayed, and where they appeared in the certificate.
Certificates now display their variables correctly and in the right place.
For any certificates that continue to show the variables incorrectly: open the certificate in the cert editor, and save it again, to update the calculations about the variables.
See Set up certificates for learners
Courses made of a single Tin Can module now start automatically as intended Issue resolved
Customers reported that courses from Easygenerator made of a single xAPI module were not starting automatically as expected.
The team has addressed the issue, so all single-module courses including those imported from Easygenerator start automatically when they are the only module in the course.
