User management
Batch user upload limited to one at a time per portal 28 March 2025 Enhancement
During routine work the team set a check on how many batch user uploads can run in one portal at once. If one batch user upload is in process in a portal, LearnUpon prevents anyone starting another until the first one is finished.
Having more than one upload run at once could result in two sets of batch user upload records in the database, that would cause issues later.

Changing HTML in free text fields resolves a “value too long” message 28 March 2025 Issue resolved
The HTML used in CK Editor can sometimes cause custom messages to hit a character limit. Getting a “value too long” message is frustrating to the admin, when the actual text is within character limits.
When a customer contacted LearnUpon about this message, the team advised them to change to a plain space, to help reduce the HTML character count. With a few search-and-replace changes the message met the field limit and was saved and displayed correctly.
In this instance, this change let admins share resources in their store as required.

Email notifications
Email template for Shopify purchases now using the correct portal signature 28 March 2025 Issue resolved
A customer let us know that their Shopify automated notification to buyers was displaying LearnUpon as the sender rather than their portal name.
Our team has corrected the template so notifications now have the portal name as sender after purchases.
Learner experience
All translations distinguish between learning paths and learning journeys 14 March 2025 Issue resolved
After general release of learning journeys, some customers using translations reported that learning paths and learning journeys were translated with the same term.
The team contacted the translation services and reviewed the content about learning journeys, to find distinct translations and correct the text about learning journeys.
The following screenshot shows the learner page with Courses, Learning paths, and Learning journeys in German.

Learners can view the numbers of external credits assigned to a LearnUpon course 14 March 2025 Issue resolved
A customer reported that learners couldn’t see the number of external credits assigned to their courses, on the course completion page.
The team fixed the issue so when learners finish a course that has associated external credits, they can see the number of credits they earned with the course.
You set up external credits through LearnUpon’s Associations and membership feature. See Associations and membership types: overview and setup.
New learners who sign in now see appropriate enrollment messages, based on their custom user data 14 March 2025 Issue resolved
Learners who created their own accounts for the first time were seeing a Checking for new enrollments message that ran for longer than expected.
The team has resolved the issue so:
- in portals using dynamic rules, learners who provide custom user data are assigned courses and see the holding message as required
- in portals not using dynamic rules, learners see the holding message only briefly while LearnUpon checks to see if there’s any automated assignments for them
In portals with 2FA turned on, learners can now follow links to courses on learning paths successfully 14 March 2025 Issue resolved
Customers reported that their learners were getting Resource not found messages when they followed links to cataloged courses. These links were in automated notifications emailed to the learners.
The team’s investigation showed that the links in question referred to courses that were on cataloged learning paths, which affected their URLs. They have now confirmed that learners with 2FA turned on do need to log in and complete 2FA process, and then the portal directs them to the correct course.
See Portal setup: two-factor authentication (2FA).
Integrations
API endpoints returning errors are confirmed as deprecated 14 March 2025 Issue resolved
A customer reported receiving 403 errors for an ILT Center endpoint.
The ILT Center endpoints were deprecated on 31 December 2024, but one ILT Center endpoint was still listed in the API guide. The team updated the API guide to remove the last ILT Center endpoint.
Turning off ILT Center endpoints is part of the ongoing transition towards LearnUpon’s live learning feature. See What's new and next for LearnUpon's Live Learning functionality, check the discussion in LearnUpon’s Engage community, or speak to your Customer Success Manager to learn more.

Notification templates are now available in multiple languages 14 March 2025 Issue resolved
Some customers reported that they couldn’t set up notifications in multiple languages and save the notification templates.
The team reviewed and resolved the issue so admins can now create notification templates in multiple languages, for learners who set their portals to their preferred language.
See Email templates: move to customized multi-language templates.
