When changing branding, the square logo updates correctly Issue resolved
Some customers reported that when setting up new brands, their new square logos were not displaying across the portal consistently: they saw a mix of "old" and "new" brand logos.
The team could reproduce this issue and thus identify the source. The square logo now appears correctly in your brand when someone adds a new image.
Live learning: if you try to delete an event that is part of a course, you now get a error message Issue resolved
You can't delete a live learning event that is in use in courses.
Internal testing identified that when an admin attempted to delete an active live learning event, they would get a response message as a dialog box. The team has changed the response behaviour so that this message is correctly delivered as an error message.

Live learning: learners can now attend another session if they fail an earlier session Issue resolved
A customer reported that when their learners failed a session, they could not register for another session, because they still appeared on the first roster incorrectly as In progress.
The team reviewed the issue and could identify the problem to resolve it. Learners who fail 1 session are now recorded correctly as Failed, so they can now successfully register for a later session to try again.

Live learning: learners who must attend 1 session, who missed their first registered session, can now attend a second session Issue resolved
A customer reported that their learners couldn’t register to attend an additional session after being marked as Absent for 1 of 3 sessions. LearnUpon was treating the absent session as their marked session instead of allowing them a second registration.
The team addressed the issue. Learners who miss their first registered session, and are allowed to attend another, can successfully register again to complete their live learning.

Live learning: failed learners who can register again shown correctly as not registered Issue resolved
Some customers reported an awkward issue for required sessions. Failed learners who were allowed to register for an additional session were not displayed correctly in the interface.
The team has addressed the issue, so learners who fail their first session are shown as Not registered. When they complete the first session successfully they return to the correct status, depending on what sessions are available. When they complete the required sessions their status changes to Completed.

Live learning: webinar dropdown now works within the screen boundaries Issue resolved
Internal testing showed an issue with the live learning webinar selection: the list of webinar accounts could extend past the edge of a screen, making it impossible to select some accounts.
The team reviewed the issue and corrected it. The dropown menu now scrolls correctly to let you select an account from anywhere in the list.

Internal search by admins works as expected Issue resolved
Customers reported that admins got a You are not authorized error while searching for courses through the global search bar, on pages other than the Courses page.

Managers with limited permissions no longer offered option to enroll learners Issue resolved
A customer reported that their manager accounts were accessing the option to enroll learners, when the managers did not have permissions to perform enrollments and unenrollments. The managers had instructor permissions, but these permissions didn’t include enrolling learners.
The team identified the issue and have corrected it - managers without enrollment permissions no longer see the option to enroll learners.

Admins can now approve enrollment requests when you remove a course from the catalog Issue resolved Enhancement
A customer contacted the team about enrollment approvals that no longer worked: the admin could not approve the request to enroll.
Testing showed that the course had been removed from the catalog. This change of availability had affected enrollment requests.
The team have changed the default behaviour for enrollment requests. If you remove a course from the catalog, any outstanding enrollment requests still work, so learners can access the courses they asked for.
When you remove a course from the catalog, you need to offer it another way - either through your eCommerce site, or by enrolling learners directly to it.

Managers can send a group invite to an existing learner as expected Issue resolved
Some customers reported that their managers couldn't send group invites to learners, when the learners already existed in the portal.
The team reviewed the issue and corrected it. Managers can now send group invites to learners who already have portal accounts.
Email notifications
Notification for learners added to a portal through an HRIS or CRM integration Enhancement
For customers who use products like BambooHR, Personio or any of the HRIS integrations, you can now send an auto notification to learners invited to a portal, based on their details from the HR software.
LearnUpon provides a default template for this notification called User created by HRIS or CRM integration. The default text indicates that the invite lasts for 72 hours.
You can customize the notification with additional details as required. These custom templates are also available in the translations that you use in the portal.

Exams: when reversioning courses to add an exam, you now get an error message if the question pool is missing Better messagingIssue resolved
Internal testing showed that it was possible to publish a course with an exam, but without a question pool, and this error would cause the publishing process to hang.
The team reviewed the issue and have added an error message to alert you that you need to add the question pool before publishing.
Checklists: deleted checklist items in draft courses no longer appear in the course preview Issue resolved
A customer using checklists reported that if you delete an item, you can still see the checklist item in the course preview, though it doesn’t appear in the published course.
The team reviewed the issue and found the source. Previews of checklists before publishing are now accurate and don’t show deleted items.

User exports with group memberships assigned by dynamic rules show the correct memberships Issue resolved
A customer reported that exports of groups were showing members assigned to the wrong group, even though their memberships were correct in LearnUpon. They had had changes to their group assignment through dynamic rules.
The team investigated and found a caching issue that affected the exported files. The issue is now resolved so exports of learners in groups are correct and match the memberships in the portal.

After releasing the redesigned interface and course experience for learners, the team has picked up and resolved some small issues with the look and feel of courses. These issues included:
- for courses with re-attempts allowed: the Re-attempt button is now available on the course content page. Learners with a course marked complete as
failedcan re-attempt the course more easily - corrected the display colours for course difficulty level in the catalog
Correcting these issues makes the experience of using LearnUpon smoother and more pleasant for both learners and managers.

For courses that allow re-enrolling: a customer reported that when learners re-enrolled in a course, the associated live learning sessions didn’t appear in their Live learning page.
The team reviewed the issue and have changed the behaviour, so learners can see available sessions, when they re-enroll in the course.

Live learning: events with optional sessions now display the optional sessions correctly Issue resolved
Live learning events with a series of sessions require at least 1 session as required. Other sessions can be optional.
A customer reported that for their admins, sessions marked at optional were appearing onscreen as required, and this appearance was inaccurate. The learner view was not affected.
The team reviewed the issue to correct it: optional sessions in a session series now appear optional onscreen for admins.

Live learning: when you cancel a session series, the cancellation applies to Google Calendar correctly Issue resolved
A customer reported that when they set up a session series with Zoom, and then deleted the series before the Zoom registration was received, the Zoom registration stayed in the learners' calendars. Learners thought they had sessions when no sessions were scheduled.
The team has addressed this issue so sessions cancelled almost immediately after setup no longer linger in learners' Google calendars.

Live learning: for recertification, learners must complete new sessions Issue resolved
A customer reported that old completed sessions were appearing as part of courses where learners needed to recertify to retain their qualifications. Past sessions should not apply to recertifications at all.
The team investigated the issue and now learners can see only those sessions that are available for their recertification. The old completed sessions are not applied to recertify learners.
Integrations
LinkedIn Learning: LearnUpon can assign badges and points for LinkedIn Learning courses Enhancement
Organizations that use gamification can now award badges and points to learners who complete courses from LinkedIn Learning.
See:
API: copying courses within a portal and assigning a new owner now works correctly Issue resolved
A customer using the API to copy courses found that the original course owner’s ID was retained in the copy, rather than the assigned owner’s ID.
The team addressed the issue and corrected it. You can now copy a course within one portal, and assign a new owner’s ID correctly.
See the API guide about cloning a course
HubSpot: LearnUpon updates HubSpot when a learner logs in to the portal Enhancement
For organizations that use HubSpot: LearnUpon can now “push” a notification to HubSpot that provides a timestamp for a learner’s most recent login to the learning portal.
This change makes HubSpot records more complete and helps drive new HubSpot workflows.

HRIS integrations: additional data synchronization to support US west coast and Asian and Pacific timezones Enhancement
For BambooHR and Persionio, LearnUpon has added a second automatic daily synchronization. Between the two syncs, LearnUpon updates BambooHR and Personio records about every 12 hours, so organizations on the US west coast and in Asia Pacific get their learners' data up to date in a timely way.
