Set colors and logos, and add a custom footer
Add your organization’s brand to your portal. Branding provides a visual connection to your organization’s online presence, and supports your learners' training experience.
Availability: all customers
Branding basics
To brand your LearnUpon portal:
- From the primary navigation menu, select Settings > Customization > Branding.
- Select Add branding to open the branding interface.
- Edit the settings to set portal colors, logos and icons, and a portal footer.
- For Assign branding, select one of the following settings:
- Portal (default)
- Save as unassigned
- Select Preview and continue to view each branding element in use.
- Save branding to finish, or Cancel to keep editing your selections.
Portal colors
See the color and branding images overview for advice about using color effectively.
Set your portal colors with the following 3 settings:
- Header Color
- Background Color
- Link Color
- From Portal Colors select your brand colors using a hex code, RGB code, or the color picker.
- Select Preview and continue to view the colors in use.
- Optional: for light-colored backgrounds, select Show Background Overlay.
- Save branding to finish, or Cancel to continue editing.
The following screenshot shows Portal Colors with the color picker in use for Link Color.
Logos
Upload your organization logo to appear in the application header. See Image sizes overview: logos, course images and certificates for advice about image sizes and formats.
Set your logo image sizes:
- Header Logo: maximum height of 72 pixels
- Squared Logo: square format, height of 72 pixels, for favicon, and smaller device displays like mobiles
Tip: To view your squared logo in the application, upload a logo and resize your browser screen.
- From Logos, select Upload image.
- Select a file from your drive. The application opens the file in the cropping tool, with the maximum image size featured.
- Use the pointer to resize the cropped area, or drag the focus to recenter the cropped area.
- In Alternative text, enter a short description of the image.
Optional: select Change image to upload a different image, without closing the cropping tool. - Select Preview and continue to view the results.
- Save branding to finish, or Cancel to continue editing.
Footer
Add a link to your portal's footer to direct users to another site, for example, to read terms and conditions.
- In Link URL, enter the URL.
- In Link text, enter a text for the link.
- Select Preview and continue to view the results.
- Save branding to finish, or Cancel to continue editing.
Change a portal’s assigned brand
You can edit the brand assigned to a portal - change its colors and logos or enter a new footer text - without changing its assignment.
To assign a different brand to the portal, you need to create a separate brand with a new name, and assign it to the portal. The original brand appears in the brand list as Unassigned.
- From the main navigation menu, select Settings > Customization > Branding.
- Select your brand, or next to a brand name, select More (3-dot menu) > Edit.
- From Assign branding, for Assign brand to select Portal.
- In the Assign portal branding dialog that opens, select Assign.
