Receive learner assignments and messages by default
By default, the course owner - the person who creates the course in LearnUpon - is the first course instructor. The course owner receives all learners' messages and assignments.
Admins can assign 1 or more learners to another instructor.
When learners are assigned to an instructor, their instructor:
- receives the learners' messages, using the Message the Instructor feature on a course
- receives the learners' assignments
When you assign learners to an instructor, those learners are visible only to the course owner and their assigned instructor. Additional instructors can no longer view the learners.
Tip: If you do not assign instructors to individual learners during your course setup, learners can choose an instructor when submitting assignments.
