Integrations
Creating users through Zapier and Salesforce
As part of ongoing work, the engineering team identified an issue where customers using integrations were trying to create user accounts, and they failed, because the account creation request didn’t have a password. The team found a couple of issues around a workflow that had previously supplied a default password. Now, when customers use an integration to create a new user in LearnUpon without supplying a password, LearnUpon can provide a default password to complete the process.
LearnUpon Anywhere: supports up to 10 domain URLs
LearnUpon Anywhere can now run on up to 10 domains: the previous limit was 3 domains. You can embed courses into multiple locations for organizations with extensive online presences.

CKEditor and onscreen text improvements
Bullets now display correctly to learners
In CKEditor, bulleted lists weren’t appearing correctly to learners, though they looked correct to the author when creating the course content. The team has corrected this issue, and bullet lists now appear correctly to both learners and course authors.
Raw HTML removed from onscreen exam instructions
Raw HTML code appeared in the instructions for exams that had no time limits. The team have fixed the onscreen text for untimed exams.
Raw HTML removed from the Event details page
Raw HTML was appearing in button and field names. The team has fixed the text so it appears correctly.
Enrollment request message typos corrected
The team has corrected a popup message about enrollment requests that contained typos.
Certificates
Improvements to how the fields work in the latest certificate editor
In the certificate editor, wide extended content fields positioned on the certificate didn’t retain the layout. The team has revised the way fields act in the certificate editor, so you can use fields that run the full width of the certificate.
Preferred date formats are displayed correctly on certificates
Certificate dates were not appearing in the chosen format. The team has fixed this issue so dates now appear in the chosen format.
Image filenames can’t contain periods: better error message
A customer reported that they couldn’t upload an image for the certificate editor. The problem was that there was a period in the filename itself, like certificate2.1.jpeg, and the application can’t accept the file. certificate 2_1.jpeg is acceptable for upload.
The engineering team has improved the Image upload failed error message, to provide direction for users when they hit this problem.
Enrollments
Mark complete action doesn’t apply to learners who have completed a course
Typically admins set up portals so no one can change statuses of completed courses. You can optionally allow admins to change the results of courses, but changing this setting can affect the legitimacy of the courses and their associated certifications.
Recently a customer reported a way to change a learner’s completed course status, from the Enrollments page. This option is not part of the intended behaviour. The team has corrected this issue. If you try to change a completed course’s status, you’ll get an error message.
Setting due dates for groups now correctly re-enrolls learners who have previously completed the course
You can set due dates, either number of days or a calendar date, for groups through Enrollments. Recently a customer found when enrolling a group on a course, the learners in the group who had already completed the course on their own saw the wrong due date for their re-enrollment.
The team has fixed the issue, so when learners with completed courses are enrolled on the same course again through a group, they see the same due date as the rest of the group members.
Portal management
Better messages for setting up new sub-portal names
Your subdomain for a portal can contain lowercase alphanumeric characters only. The team has improved the onscreen messages to address errors with uppercase letters, and errors with non-alphanumeric characters, separately.
Course management
Select all options in a string choice field for custom course data, and save
A recent issue prevented a customer from saving all the options in custom course data field. The field allowed Select all, but would not save correctly.
The team has fixed this issue so the string choice field works correctly and saves all options successfully.
Setting expiry dates for courses: improved tooltip for clarity
When you set a course’s valid period with a fixed date, aka a date on the calendar, the course’s valid period expires at 11 AM, in the timezone of the person who sets the date.
The team have improved the tooltip to make this timezone condition clear, and updated the Knowledge Base article about course valid periods.
See Manage course due dates and valid periods.
eCommerce
Currencies are now displayed clearly next to each course
The team has added more specific currency indicators, namely for stores that use different kinds of dollars (US, CAD, AUD, NZD). You can see the price for each course clearly in multiple currencies.
