Summary
Learners' exam experience depends on the exam options set for each exam. LearnUpon provides flexible options for exams, to suit your content, and your learner needs.
Exams are available to all customers.
See Exam options to review the settings available.
While you create or edit an exam, you can preview your course, and select the exam module, to see the learner's point of view.
After publishing a course, you can optionally use the proxy user feature to view the learner's portal. See Portal setup: let admins log in as learners.
Enter the exam
When they select the exam module, learners see an introduction to the exam, which specifies:
- whether the module is an exam or a knowledge check
- any time limits
- how many questions are on the exam
- whether or not the learner can revise their earlier answers
- the score required to pass the exam
You set these options from the exam module > Exam options.

Finish the exam
For any exam, learners can submit their answers when they are finished. For a timed exam, the application submits their answers automatically when the time runs out.
The following screenshot shows the confirmation dialog for submitting answers.
Leave the exam
The Leave Exam option is available from the header. You define how LearnUpon handles a learner leaving the exam before completing the questions, from the exam module > Exam options.
The following screenshot shows the confirmation message, if you allow learners to leave and return to an exam attempt.
