Summary
You can add custom text and media to your login page, to support your brand.
This feature is available to all customers.
Default login page features
Your portal login page can include your organization name, and brand features like color, logo or feature image or text. By default it uses email and password as login identifiers, and provides tools like Forgot your password?
Portal name
You set your portal name in the portal's General Settings. The portal name appears in the default login text “Log in to Portal Name”, and in the browser tab. See Portal setup: title, language, timezone and access settings.
Brand features: color and logo, plus branded image options
You set the color for your login page header, and your organization’s logo from your portal's branding settings.
See Brand your portal.
You can add images to build your brand engagement. Use high-resolution PNG files that are designed for screen displays. The recommended image size for the login page is 730x600px, though the space is flexible.
Tip: The header logo in the screenshots above is in PNG format with transparent background. The PNG format is designed for logos, graphics and graphs.
Customizable login features
Email or username as unique identifier
By default, LearnUpon uses email addresses as unique identifiers for user accounts. If your portal requires usernames as a unique identifier instead of email, the login field is Username.
Self-registration
If you allow users to self-register, this page includes the linked text Sign up now >> directing learners to a signup page.
See Portal setup: users' general settings.
Forgotten password feature
Forgot your password? is a default tool on your login page, available for people who have active accounts. You can turn off Forgot your password? if required: contact the support team.
See Find help: access the Support desk.
Note: Forgot your password? doesn't work for pending users: for example, users who received an email invite but haven't yet selected the link to create a password and log in for the first time.
Add custom text and images to the login page
See Portal: character limits of frequently-used fields for sizes of text fields in this page.
- From main navigation menu go to Settings > My Portal > Login Screen Layout.
- Select Display 'sign into' portal text? to add a short custom message: up to 100 characters, which includes spaces and punctuation. This message appears above the login fields, and replaces the default "Log in to Portal Name" text.
- In Login message add any images and instructional text using CKeditor.
- Save to finish.
Tip: if your login message requires both text and images, test out how the text appears onscreen in different screen sizes before publishing.
