Support your organization’s brand with custom fonts
LearnUpon offers a selection of serif and sans serif fonts to bring your portal close to your organization’s brand.
Availability: depends on your LearnUpon plan
Contact your Implmementation Consultant or your Customer Success Manager to discuss this feature.
By default, LearnUpon portals use the Google Font called Inter for onscreen text.
Admins can set custom typography from Google Fonts across their LearnUpon portal. This feature helps extend your organization’s brand identity without requiring custom CSS or licensed fonts.
Note: font selection can affect the accessibility of your portal for learners with visual impairments.
LearnUpon recommends testing your font displays in the portal to confirm accessibility, as required.
The font list includes:
- Allura
- Barlow
- Figtree
- Google Sans
- Hind
- Kanit
- Lato
- Manrope
- Montserrat
- Neuzeit
- Open Sans
- Plus Jakarta Sans
- Poppins
- PT Serif Caption
- Raleway
- Roboto
Admins can set a Global font family, to apply to headers and body text, and an optional Heading font family, to apply to headers only. They can preview the change in a dedicated preview window before applying the font across the portal.
The following screenshot shows the preview page for a sample portal, to view font choices.
The font setting applies to onscreen text that all user types - admins, instructors, managers and learners - see within the portal.
CK Editor, the rich text editor for text and image modules, assignments and exams, supports custom portal fonts, unless you change them manually.
Note: you can't upload a custom font for use in the portal.
Font exceptions
The following features do not inherit custom font settings:
- content within SCORM modules
- certificates editor
- email templates
- eCommerce via Spree
These features have their own settings to manage fonts.
Access permissions
- admins with full portal permissions: can set up fonts for portals and for groups
This feature is available for top-level and for sub-portals. You set fonts individually for each portal.
For organizations that set brands for groups: you can set fonts for groups individually for each group.
When an admin creates a new portal within a realm, and chooses to copy the portal settings, the new subportal inherits the current active branding, including the font of the top level portal.
