Live Learning: set locations for in-person sessions

Set up addresses for training sites

Set up location addresses for sessions that happen in person, including timezones and details about venues. This information appears in a drop-down field, when you create a Live Learning session.

Working with timezones

The default timezone is GMT +00:00 UTC. This timezone doesn't change for daylight savings time. 

If your location follows daylight savings, LearnUpon recommends selecting a familiar timezone like "Dublin" or "London". During daylight savings periods, these timezone options change and your sessions appear at the correct time for learners.

Prerequisites

You need to turn on features in your portal before creating a session.

Add locations for sessions

1. From your dashboard go to Settings > Courses > Live learning locations.
2. From the action menu select Add New Location.
3. Enter:
   • a location Name
   • a Timezone: if you do not select a timezone, the default zone is UTC+0
   • the location Address
4. Select a Country: if you select United States, you get an additional State dropdown field.
5. Enter any Additional Notes: transport details, building entry requirements, or local dining options.
6. Save to finish.
