Easygenerator content and LearnUpon: overview
LearnUpon and Easygenerator are partnered to deliver the best LMS with the best content creation tool for enterprises.
After building your courses in Easygenerator, use the seamless integration to send content directly into LearnUpon.
The courses appear in your LearnUpon portal in 1 of 2 locations:
- by default - in the portal Library, as SCORM modules. You can use these modules in as many courses as required
- optionally - in Courses, as new courses in Draft status
Create, edit and update in Easygenerator
Your original learning content remains in Easygenerator. You can edit the content in Easygenerator, and decide when to send updates to the modules in LearnUpon.
Learners access the published course content like all other modules in their LearnUpon portal.
Any interactions within the course like voting, responding to questions, or flagging go to Easygenerator.
When the learner closes the SCORM, LearnUpon receives the lmsFinish
SCORM response which tells LearnUpon whether the module is In Progress, or is Completed.
When you archive a course in Easygenerator, the copy in LearnUpon stays active. You need to archive the module in LearnUpon separately.
Before archiving any course, LearnUpon advises admins to:
- unenroll any learners with Not Started status
- encourage learners with In Progress statuses to complete the course as soon as possible
Working with Easygenerator courses
By default, the “oldest” LearnUpon admin is listed as course owner.
If the course creator in Easygenerator has an account with the same unique identifier on the portal, they become the course owner.
Once the course is available in LearnUpon, you can treat it like any other course, with the same permissions requirements. For managers, see User types and permissions: managers.
For instructors to enroll learners in a Easygenerator course, instructors must be either the course owner, or an instructor on the course. See Users: create an instructor, and assign them to a course.
You can change the course owner, if required. See Courses: Additional Settings to manage learners' access to a course.
You can add more modules to the course, like a branded intro module, an additional exam or quiz, or a survey to finish the course.
You can add Easygenerator courses to learning paths in LearnUpon.
After publishing your content to LearnUpon, you edit and publish updates in EasyGenerator, to send to LearnUpon as required. You can’t edit Easygenerator modules in LearnUpon.
Statuses of Easygenerator courses
Easygenerator provides course statuses of Not Started, In Progress, and Completed by default.
When learners complete a scoring course, LearnUpon records their course as Passed, and provides any score from the SCORM module.
Access permissions
- Admins with full portal permissions: can set up Easygenerator, and import courses from Easygenerator to your portal
The LearnUpon admin who sets up the integration requires a Easygenerator administrator account. During first-time setup, the admin confirms agreement with the governing policies.
