Easygenerator content and LearnUpon: overview
LearnUpon and Easygenerator are partnered to deliver the best LMS with the best content creation tool for enterprises.
After building your courses in Easygenerator, use the seamless integration to send content directly into LearnUpon.
The courses appear in your LearnUpon portal in 1 of 2 locations:
- by default - in the portal Library, as xAPI modules. You can use these modules in as many courses as required
- optionally - in Courses, as new courses in Draft status
Import and publish in a single step
You can set up your integration to publish the imported Easygenerator content automatically, as soon as you import it, rather than leaaving the course in Draft status.
You can also add it directly to the catalog as soon as you import and publish.
Create, edit and update in Easygenerator
Your original learning content remains in Easygenerator. You can edit the content in Easygenerator, and decide when to send updates to the modules in LearnUpon.
In Easygenerator, you can publish your content as xAPI modules. You can save content in other formats as required.
Learners access the published course content like all other modules in their LearnUpon portal.
Any interactions within the course like voting, responding to questions, or flagging go to Easygenerator.
In xAPI format, modules send updates about their status regularly as the learner progresses. When LearnUpon receives a statement that contains one of the verbs failed, completed or passed, the module is Completed.
In SCORM format: when the learner closes the module, LearnUpon receives the lmsFinish SCORM response which tells LearnUpon whether the module is In Progress, or is Completed.
When you archive a course in Easygenerator, the copy in LearnUpon stays active. You need to archive the module in LearnUpon separately.
Before archiving any course, LearnUpon advises admins to:
- unenroll any learners with Not Started status
- encourage learners with In Progress statuses to complete the course as soon as possible
Working with Easygenerator courses
Once the course is available in LearnUpon, you can treat it like any other course, with the same permissions requirements. See Permissions to use Easygenerator course content in this article.
You can add more modules to the course, like a branded intro module, an additional exam or quiz, or a survey to finish the course.
You can add Easygenerator courses to learning paths in LearnUpon.
After publishing your content to LearnUpon, you edit and publish updates in EasyGenerator, to send to LearnUpon as required. You can’t edit Easygenerator modules in LearnUpon.
See Content: set up the Easygenerator integration for how-to instructions about setup.
Statuses of Easygenerator courses
Easygenerator provides course statuses of Not Started, In Progress, and Completed by default.
When learners complete a scoring course, LearnUpon records their course as Passed, and provides any score from the SCORM or xAPI module.
