Manage attendance records for large numbers of learners
Upload attendance records from Google Meet (Business + plans). Access attendance records for sessions in Live Learning as CSV files, to mark attendance for large numbers of learners.
Availability: all customers
See Live Learning: overview and features for background about Live Learning.
Overview
LearnUpon’s options to download and upload attendance records makes managing attendance easy, especially if you’re collecting attendance information from more than one source.
After you record attendance, Reports provides report options on all learner attendance for sessions. See Reports: create an advanced report.
The following screenshot shows the tools for marking attendance for a session, before entering any data.
Upload an attendance roster provided by Google Meet
For Google Meet customers with Business + plans, you can upload the attendance records that Google Meet provides, without downloading a template first. LearnUpon can accept the record as part of the session.
See Google’s support documentation for details. LearnUpon is not responsible for content off this site.
Track attendance in Google Meet
Download a CSV to use outside the portal
Download a list of your session attendees as a CSV file with columns for:
- first name
- last name
- duration (number of minutes)
- attended (Yes/No)
This download option lets you complete the attendance records for lots of learners at once, and upload it again to the portal.
LearnUpon validates the CSV to make sure the contents match the attendees for that session. This validation prevents you from accidentally overwriting one session’s attendance with another’s.
For in-person sessions, you can print the list of attendees, and use it as a manual attendance check in your class.
Enter attendance information manually onscreen, and save to LearnUpon
For each session you can record attendance manually or automatically. See: Live Learning: record attendance for sessions.
You can also download the result of attendance recorded in LearnUpon as a CSV, for external records.
Limits to uploading a roster
LearnUpon can accept uploads of up to 5 MB per file.
You can’t upload a roster to overwrite manual entries: if you start marking attendance manually, you need to finish that session’s attendance manually.
Within LearnUpon, you can manually change the attendance entries as many times as required.
Prerequisites
The options to upload and download attendance records appear when you mark attendance for sessions. See Live Learning: record attendance for sessions for background.
