Add a Zendesk Chat integration to your portal. Using chat, your Zendesk agents can reach users directly, even if users aren't logged in to LearnUpon.
This feature is available depending on your LearnUpon plan.
Using this Chat integration feature your agents can talk to learners in real-time as they navigate around the portal. Once you have successfully integrated the chat widget, this feature is available on all pages on your portal.
Tip: LearnUpon are not providing the cookie policy consent as part of this integration with Zendesk.
The following screenshot shows what the Chat integration can look like within your portal.
When you set up the chat widget for your learners, test the widget to make sure it interacts smoothly with SCORM and Tin Can modules' internal controls like buttons.
From Zendesk, you can move the widget’s default position, to make sure learners can always access both the course controls and the widget.

Add Zendesk Chat integration
To set up the integration, you need the script ID key from the Zendesk Chat widget install script.
- From the primary navigation menu, select Settings
- Select Integrations > Chat Integration
- Select the Zendesk card, then click on Add to platform
- From the Zendesk Chat widget install script, copy the script ID key portion of the URL
- Enter the key in to Zendesk Chat script ID key, select Apply to finish
Edit the Zendesk Chat integration
- From the primary navigation menu, select Settings.
- Select Integrations > Chat Integration.
- Select the Zendesk card, then click Edit key ID.
- Edit the value in Zendesk Chat script ID key, click Apply to finish.
Remove the Zendesk Chat integration
- From the primary navigation menu, select Settings.
- Select Integrations > Chat Integration.
- Select the Zendesk card, then click Disconnect. Click Remove to finish.
