Summary
Create surveys, aka course evaluations, to gather feedback from learners. Check the quality of your instruction through questions and ratings.
This feature is available to all customers.
A survey module is different from the course review which appears by default on every course.
A survey, sometimes called a course evaluation, is a questionnaire you design using a question pool. The survey module is wholly customizable.
With a survey question pool you can re-use the questions for each course. You can make a survey required or optional.
A review is an interactive dialog that appears at the end of each course. It asks for a star rating and a brief comment on the course.
Though the review appears on every course, learners can dismiss the review dialog without completing it. You can make the review mandatory at the course level if required. See Courses: Additional Settings to manage learners' access to a course.

View survey results
To access the results you run a report on courses that contain a survey module. See Run your first report in LearnUpon.
For surveys, you can choose to view the results as:
- charts, to display the single or multiple choice answers, or the rating answers
- transcripts, to read the written feedback
You can tailor the report with default filters, and with custom user data fields, if you use them in the portal.
