Summary
A Zap is an automated workflow that connects your apps like Slack, Google, or Salesforce, and services like LearnUpon together.
This feature is available depending on your LearnUpon plan.
Every Zap consists of a trigger step (“when this happens…”) and one or more action steps (“then do this…”). When you turn your Zap on, it runs the action steps every time the trigger event occurs.
Create your first Zap
After logging into Zapier go to My Zaps.
Select Make a Zap.
This page lets you to set up a trigger for your actions. Examples:
- creating a user in your HR or CRM system (trigger) and enrolling that user (action) into a course in your portal
- creating a user (trigger) and adding a user to a group (action)

Set up the trigger requirements.
- Select your trigger app: the Zap is triggered by an event that occurs in your chosen app.
- Select your trigger event: an event that occurs in the selected app that triggers the Zap.
- Select your app account: select or connect the specific app account to use in the Zap trigger.
- Customize your trigger: customize your trigger options to fit your needs.

- Select your app account: select or connect the specific app account to use in the Zap action.
- Customize your action: customize the data that you want to send to your action app

When your setup is complete, Zapier lets you test your integration using the test and review functions on the actions page.
Test and review summarizes the data from action based on your trigger and action(s). They also offer information like user details, timestamps and permalinks.
