ILTs in sellable courses and learning paths: overview
When you offer courses with instructor-led training sessions for sale, future sessions that have capacity appear prominently in your online store. The following screenshot shows an example of ILT Center sessions available on a storefront.
Selecting the session title, or View Details, opens a summary of the session, including the courses associated with the session.
The following screenshot shows an example of details available for ILT Center sessions.
Learners may view the course and add it to their cart by selecting the course name from the list of courses relevant to ILT.
Checking capacity for courses
LearnUpon checks capacity to make sure session seats are available:
- when listing available sessions and courses in store
- at checkout in shopping cart
- when completing the purchase, after redirecting the buying to the payment provider
For free courses LearnUpon does a last check on Go to dashboard link, to ensure there is still space.
When the sessions run out of seats, LearnUpon no longer shows upcoming sessions in the store, and the store no longer offers the course.
Legacy ILT sessions vs ILT Center sessions in eCommerce: notes
Customers can access both legacy ILT modules and ILT Center modules from Courses.
You can't add both legacy and ILT Center modules to the same course.
For legacy ILTs, you must re-version the course to add new ILT sessions. The sessions appear in the store after you publish the latest course version. See Publish a new version of a course.
For ILT Center modules, you create a single ILT module once, then add as many ILT sessions as you need, before or after publishing the course. You can add new sessions without creating a new version of the course. New sessions appear in the store as soon as you create them.
