ILT Center: add an ILT module to a course

Summary

Add up to 5 instructor-led training (ILT) modules from the ILT Center to courses.

Customers can access both legacy ILT modules, and training in the ILT Center Courses.  You can continue using your existing ILT modules within courses.

You can't add both legacy and ILT Center modules to the same course.

Once part of a course, ILT Center modules act like your existing content modules:

  • drag and drop them to change their order
  • use More (aka 3-dot menu) > Remove to take a module out of a course
  • once published, you require a new course version to add or remove a module from a course

Access permissions to the ILT Center

Admins can create and edit training in the ILT Center, and add training to courses, without restrictions.

Instructors can create and edit training in the ILT Center and add training to courses, if their permissions are turned on. See Users: create an instructor, and assign them to a course.

Managers can create and edit training in the ILT Center and add training to courses, if they have instructor permissions. See Managers: set permissions to manage group.

Add training to a course from the ILT Center

You can add up to 5 ILT Center modules to 1 course.

  1. From main navigation go to Courses > your course.
  2. From secondary navigation select Content to add modules.
  3. From Add New Content, select Add ILT from ILT Center to open a list of available modules.
  4. Choose the ILT modules you need, or search for them by title.
  5. Select Add to finish.

Preview a course with training before publishing

If you preview a course that includes an ILT Center module, you see a summary from the module's details. The preview doesn't include any information about sessions, even if sessions are available.

  1. From main navigation go to Courses > my course name.
  2. From action menu select Preview Course.
  3. Select the ILT Center module to view.
  4. Select Back to Course to end preview.

Edit training within a course

  1. From main navigation go to Courses > your course.
  2. From secondary navigation select Content to see the modules in the course.
  3. Select the ILT Center module to open the module's Training details.
  4. Select View details to see these details within the ILT Center.
  5. Select Edit training to make any changes to the module.
  6. Save changes to finish.
