Choose how to handle session enrollments when you cancel a session.

Cancelling legacy ILT sessions applies only to published courses. While courses are in draft status, you can remove and add legacy ILT sessions freely, from the course's Content page, or from the legacy ILT session's page.
After you publish courses, you cancel legacy ILTs one by one, from each session's page. The course itself remains published. Cancelling sessions does not prompt you to create a new version of the course.
On cancellation, LearnUpon shows you how many users your cancellation affects, and lets you choose how to handle their session enrollment.
For courses with waiting lists, cancellation messages go to both enrolled users and those on the waiting list.

Tip: before cancelling a session, use Message Attendees from the course's ILT Details to advise users enrolled on the session about next steps: for example, if they can sign up for another session.
See Legacy ILTs: create live sessions > Contact attendees of a specific session.
- From main navigation go to Courses > my course, and from secondary navigation select Content.
- Select the legacy ILT session you need to cancel.
- From the action menu, select Cancel Session.
- From the dialog that opens, in What shall we do with learners on this session after cancellation?, choose one of the following options for the affected learners:
- Allow the learner to choose another session on this course (available if you let users choose sessions themselves)
- Remain enrolled on this course, just cancel this session
- Unenroll from course and all other sessions and modules
- Select Cancel Session.
The following screenshot shows the dialog to choose how to handle a cancelled session on behalf of users.
When you cancel a session, users receive an automated email, to tell them the session is cancelled.
The following screenshot shows an example of the email learners receive.
For users who choose their own sessions: after cancellation, these users can choose a new session from their dashboard, the next time they use the portal.
