Track attendance of legacy ILT sessions
Keep track of attendance either automatically through webinar integrations, or manually in the application.

Record attendance automatically for most webinars
For legacy ILT sessions that use a webinar integration, most webinar providers send attendance data to LearnUpon automatically. The attendance tracking relies on a unique URL generated for each learner to send to the webinar provider. For accurate results:
- the legacy ILT session must use an available webinar integration
- the learner must be enrolled on the session before the session starts
- the learner must access the legacy ILT session through LearnUpon
LearnUpon records the learners as attended when the application receives the appropriate data. Depending on the webinar provider, this attendance data can take up to 24 hours to sync to LearnUpon.
Note: to record attendance accurately with Zoom, learners must sign in with the same email address as is listed in the course.
Learners who sign in as guests are not reliably recorded because LearnUpon can't match their login to their account.
Record attendance automatically for MS Teams
Microsoft Teams works differently from other providers. See MS Teams: manage session attendance for the options available for this 3rd party integration.
Record attendance manually: adjust individual records
To track attendance for sessions without a webinar, or to record learners who join the session after it runs live, you can update attendance manually.
From main navigation go to Courses > your ILT course > your ILT session > Manage Attendees.
The following screenshot shows ILT Session Details, with Manage Attendees.
In Manage Attendees you can view a list of all learners enrolled on this session.
Set the attendance manually by choosing one option next to the learners' names:
- Mark Attended: learner attended and completed the module, with an optional score for the session
- Set to cancel/no show: learner didn't attend, or the whole session was cancelled. If your course contains multiple sessions, you can optionally let the learner enroll again
- Set to partially attended: you enter the number of minutes the learner did attend. The session is not complete for this learner
You can set attendance in bulk (10 learners at a time, on the current page): choose Select all on this page > Mark Selected.

Download a printable attendance roster
You can print a PDF copy of your attendance roster: the data comes from the ILT session.
- From main navigation go to Courses > your ILT course > your ILT session > Manage Attendees.
- From Manual Attendance Roster, select Download Roster Template to generate a PDF.
Upload a roster from a different source
After the session is complete, you can upload a roster for your records.
- From main navigation go to Courses > your ILT course > your ILT session > Manage Attendees.
- From Manual Attendance Roster, select Upload File to add a file from your drive.
Note: Uploading a roster does not provide attendance data for the ILT session. You need to enter session attendance manually, for LearnUpon to record attendance.
