Instructor-Led Training (ILT) has come a long way. Nowadays, live learning isn't just about formal training sessions. It includes lunch and learns, product seminars, and all kinds of events that keep teams growing and in the loop.
And we've evolved too.
Our platform has transformed to do more than deliver traditional training sessions. Now, the 'ILT Center' > soon to be 'Live Learning', gives you the tools to define and track various events across different audiences and functions, making learning more flexible and scalable.
We get that each customer is unique, so our features are designed to let you shape the learning experience and define what live learning means for you.
Here's what's new, and what's coming next for LearnUpon's live learning functionality.
Note: These changes apply only to ILT Center functionality. Legacy ILT functionality is not affected.
What's new and what's next
We've grown and changed right alongside evolving learning expectations. Thanks to your continued feedback and insights, we've rolled out several new live learning features over the last two years. And we're not stopping there!
In line with our commitment to embracing diverse learning approaches, our latest LearnUpon features for live learning extend beyond traditional training sessions:
What's New:

What's Next:
- Session Series: Break down learning into a sequence of sessions, fostering group participation and collaboration, perfect for scenarios like HR onboarding. (coming soon)

We've also introduced several improvements to fine-tune the live learning experience for platform users to make it even more flexible and efficient, with more to come for example:
What's New:
- Use Overbook to Plan Future Sessions: Allow learners to express interest in sessions, helping you track demand and schedule effectively.

ILT Center becomes Live Learning
We worked with our Engage customer community to come up with a name to better reflect the diverse range of learning experiences beyond formal training sessions, as well as the expanded functionality recently added and upcoming.
Starting August 12, 2024, you'll notice the following updates on the platform:
- ILT Center becomes Live Learning
- Training is now labeled as Event
While no immediate action is needed on your part on the naming changes above, you may want to consider the following:
- Updates to user training documentation and/or promotional materials where you have screenshots of the platform
- Updates to the wording in the custom email templates where you have used any of the affected labels
Note: Variable names in your email templates, for example {{ilt_session_name}}, will be updated automatically to cater for the changes above.
To maintain coherence with the updated terminology, we're introducing new API endpoints and Webhooks to facilitate a seamless transition ahead of deprecating the existing methods after December 31, 2024. As part of this round of changes, we're also introducing a new value, the "PM-ID," to streamline data management and improve integration capabilities.

Note: Setups leveraging LearnUpon’s native Zoom and/or MS Teams integrations will not require any action from you.
